Two of Ahmedabad's most iconic bridges, dating back to 1939, needed urgent maintenance. The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had a plan to replace their core bearings, but with a major challenge: the project had to be done without stopping the city's pulse, the constant flow of traffic across the Sabarmati Riverfront.
While the engineering solution was clear with the methodology of lifting the superstructure from the substructure, the roadblock wasn't technical; it was communication. How do you convince government authorities to approve a complex, high-stakes operation? You show them.
Casad Consultants Pvt. Ltd., the firm leading the charge, needed to communicate and convince higher government authorities, and a standard presentation just wouldn't cut it. They needed to make the complex process feel simple, safe, and undeniable.
That's where we came in. Casad discovered us on LinkedIn, citing our proven track record with national-level government projects. Our objective was to create a custom 3D animated video that could translate their engineering brilliance into a compelling visual story.
The pressure was on. The request landed mid-week, right before a long Indian holiday weekend (Independence Day and Rakshabandhan). Our team thrives on such challenges. We jumped into action the moment we received the bridge's drawings and technical data.
First, we built a precise 3D digital twin of the bridge and all the crucial equipment (the Bailey Bridge, synchronized jack systems, and scaffolding). We sent these models to Casad for review, and each asset was approved in a single go, a great sign that we were perfectly in sync with their vision.
Next came the soul of the project: the animation. The animation phase focused on process clarity. We simulated the entire bearing replacement sequence in a single, continuous shot, using dynamic camera paths to highlight key technical manoeuvres and ensure the workflow was easily understood. This approach created an easy-to-follow visual narrative, clearly showing how the bridge could be lifted and the bearings replaced safely and efficiently.
The final video was delivered on time and approved instantly. The clarity of our video was so effective that we were allocated additional time to enhance the video with further details, creating a permanent asset for future technical briefings.
This project demonstrates our capability to translate complex engineering plans into clear, convincing visual data and also shows the power of visual storytelling. When you need to communicate a complex idea, win over stakeholders, or bring a vision to life, our 3D visualization services can ensure your objectives are understood and approved.
